In france we often mistaken about that, people often say "quel est le jour et l'heure" and not "quels sont le jour et l'heure" thus that was not a big mistake. And if you don't know the people, maybe "vous conviennent le mieux" is better than "te". Exactly, that would even be better in this context if you don't know the people.
